DROUGHT
ALERT

Re:
Water Conservation
Dear
Water Consumer:
You
have probably noticed in the news that LCRA in response to
the severe drought conditions, have activated mandatory water
restrictions as part of their water management plan.
This means they have imposed mandatory water conservation
rules on all of their water customers. Kingsland Water
Supply (KWSC) is required to activate stage two of its water
conservation plan, which includes this notification to our
customers of the MANDATORY water restrictions.
Effective
immediately, members of Kingsland Water Supply who use water
from KWSC to irrigate their landscape are required to adhere
to the following schedule.
1. Businesses, Churches, apartments, duplexes, or multifamily
dwellings irrigation schedule is on Monday and Friday between
the hours of 12:00 midnight and 10:00 a.m. and between 7:00
p.m. and 12:00 midnight. Hand watering with a hose is
allowed anytime.
2. Residential with a 911 address ending in an even number
watering schedule is only on Tuesday and Saturday between
the hours of 12:00 midnight and 10:00 a.m. and between 7:00
p.m. and 12:00 midnight. Hand watering with a hose is
allowed anytime.
3. Residential with a 911 address ending in an odd number
watering schedule is only on Wednesday and Sunday between
the hours of 12:00 midnight and 10:00 a.m. and between 7:00
p.m. and 12:00 midnight. Hand watering with a hose is
allowed anytime.
4. No irrigation between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7 p.m.
5. Irrigation should be monitored
to avoid run-off on the pavement, sidewalk or adjacent property.
Further
non-essential use of water is not allowed including street
washing, water hydrant flushing, filling pools and car washing.
LCRA
is also imposing the same irrigation restrictions on those
pumping water from the lakes for irrigation. In the
spirit of cooperation, Kingsland Water Supply encourages property
owners to adhere to the LCRA’s restrictions.
Recognizing
the severe drought conditions, and again in the spirit of
cooperation, members using well water for irrigation are requested
to follow the same LCRA mandated watering schedule.
We
appreciate your cooperation; should you have any questions,
please feel free to call me at 325-388-6611.
Sincerely,
Earl
Foster
